  • 1/2 cup of water (125 mL)
  • Salt (to taste)

  • First, start by placing the water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, to prepare a syrup as in the previous recipe. Stir with a wooden spoon for about five minutes until the sugar dissolves and turns to caramel.
