How To Treat Gingivitis Naturally?

If we do not act in time to combat dental plaque, it can turn into tartar, which is much more difficult to remove. Both erode our teeth, and eventually loosen them.

If you notice bleeding from your gums when brushing your teeth, this is the first sign of gingivitis. Inflamed and red gums can also be associated with this problem.

Gingivitis is caused by the buildup of bacterial dental plaque. It manifests itself by the deposition of a transparent film between the teeth and the skin. Find out in this article how to treat gingivitis in a natural way.

What is gingivitis and how does it appear?

Symptoms of gingivitis are swelling and bleeding of the gum tissue. These are caused by dental plaque, a sticky substance made up of food waste and bacteria.

These accumulate in the event of poor hygiene or poor consumption of certain foods (coffee for example). Over time, the dental plaque becomes more and more yellow, this is called tartar.

This helps to produce toxins which irritate and destroy the skin of the gums. The separation between the teeth then increases. Infectious areas appear. The teeth then erode to the bones and eventually loosen or even fall out.

  • Hormonal imbalances such as pregnancy, adolescence or menstruation.
  • Some nutritional deficiencies.
  • Diseases like osteoporosis or diabetes.
  • Consumption of certain foods, such as blood thinners, antibiotics, antihypertensives, antidepressants or antiepileptics.
